Incoloy Alloy Bar

INCOLOY Alloy 926 (UNS N08926 / W. Nr. 1.4529 / INCOLOY Alloy 25-6MO) is a super austenitic stainless steel containing 6% molybdenum and reinforced by nitrogen additions. The nickel and chromium content of this alloy makes it resistant to a variety of corrosive environments. The alloy is particularly resistant to non-oxidizing acids such as sulfuric and phosphoric acid. High molybdenum content and nitrogen provide resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, while copper increases resistance to sulfuric acid.

Incoloy 926/1.4529 Material Properties

Incoloy926/1.4529 has very high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in halide media and acidic environments containing sulfur and hydrogen, can effectively resist chloride ion stress corrosion, and also has good corrosion resistance in oxidizing and reducing media. The mechanical properties are slightly better than 904L, which can be used to manufacture pressure vessels of -196 ~ 400 ℃.
INCOLOY 926 alloy is a 6% molybdenum fully austenitic alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive, aqueous environments. It replaces traditional austenitic stainless steels (AISI 316 and 317), where their capabilities have reached their performance limits. Therefore, this alloy belongs to the category of "Super Austenitic Stainless Steels". It could also represent a cost-effective alternative to high-nickel alloys in certain marine and chemical processing environments.
One of the outstanding properties of INCOLOY 926 alloy is its resistance to environments containing chlorides or other halides. This alloy is particularly suitable for handling high chloride environments such as brackish water, sea water, caustic chloride and pulp mill bleaching systems. Applications include chemical and food processing, pulp and paper bleaching plants, marine and offshore platform equipment, salt pan evaporators, air pollution control systems, condensate pipes, water supply pipes and feedwater heaters in the power industry.
